Study artistic disciplines that will help you become a professional artist!

Fanshawe's Fine Art program takes a traditional, hands-on approach to the arts. Small classes and individual studio space for each student provide the perfect environment for your creativity to flourish!

You'll develop manual, perceptual and conceptual skills in various media. In studio, you'll explore sculpture, painting, drawing, multimedia, printmaking, photography, computer graphics and time-based media. Alongside this experimentation across media, you can set the direction for your own work. You'll study the theory, history and philosophy of art and learn about current trends. You'll also have an opportunity to showcase your skills at various exhibitions held throughout the year. When you graduate, you may establish yourself as a self-employed professional freelance artist, or work for an advertising agency, studio, art gallery or museum!

Fine Art is a three-year Ontario College Advanced Diploma program.
