Program Description
Integrated Land Planning Technologies is a unique blend of
landscape design, urban and regional planning, geographic
information systems, computer-aided design and graphic
presentation. It is a four year program which includes three
co-operative education work placements. The program integrates
traditional design skills with current and emerging analysis and
presentation technologies. Students also complete theoretical
studies that provide an aesthetic, sociological, economic,
ecological, civic, and historical context, ensuring that graduates
will be in high demand for positions in public and private
landscape architectural firms, planning firms and architecture and
engineering firms.
The Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington has signed a memorandum
of understanding with Fanshawe College and as a result, student
experience is greatly enhanced through this partnership of both
summer internships and programmed events at the gardens in
Burlington.
Career Opportunities
Exciting careers exist in the fields of landscape design, urban and
