Creativity drives the entertainment, education, and business environments.  Students of The School of Contemporary Media learn how to work career specific equipment, but more importantly they learn to develop and implement personal ideas, work with teams, learn workplace practices and imagine the future of communications.

Our faculty and staff are active professionals in their respective fields who bring current and relevant learning from their studios to the classrooms. Our professors are respected professionals with strong ties to industry so they focus on the skills you'll need to succeed. Fanshawe College keeps up to date. We are paying attention to social media and the convergence of traditional media.

Fanshawe Students learn in the community, on field placements and with industry partners. We have two college radio stations, including a licensed FM station "The Urban X", an Internet Radio Station "Stellar Radio", an in-house TV station "FCTV" and a partnership with a local cable broadcaster.  Our music production studios are unique to North America. Our TV studios and editing suites are amongst the best. Our labs, animation, and motion capture software make a difference. Look at our fantastic facilities.
