Are you an aspiring actor with a passion for theatre?

Take center stage in Fanshawe's Theatre Arts program and establish a strong foundation from which to launch a professional career as an actor. This conservatory program provides in-depth training for a career on the stage or screen and the opportunity to work with professional directors and actors in our new theatre facilities in Downtown London.

During your two years with us we will teach you the necessary skills to prepare you to work as an actor in the entertainment industry. We will help and encourage you to discover a method of working specific to you as a creative artist. Our professors, highly regarded experts in their field, bring real world experience and understanding to the specific challenges of this profession. Conservatory training will give you valuable practical experience in acting for the stage, mask work, play analysis, improvisation, acting for the camera, self-created work, the business of acting and other specialized master classes. You will also receive intensive movement and voice training throughout your time with us. In your final year, you will work with professional artists on a graduating project, supported and presented under professional circumstances.

While it is a primarily a conservatory program, you will also receive academic instruction in Theatre History, English and General Education to round out your educational experience at Fanshawe. For those who wish to continue their education, we have articulation agreements with Brock University in St. Catherines and Griffiths University in Australia.
