David White

Degree: B.A. Honours English and Drama, M.A., Ph.D. English, University of Western Ontario

Before coming to Fanshawe, "Dr. Dave," as he is referred to by students, taught at the University of Western Ontario. In the past, he has taught courses on Children's Literature, Science Fiction and Fantasy, Poetry, and AIDS and The Arts. At Fanshawe, he teaches a survey of Theatre History beginning with Aeschylus and ending with Angels In America for first year students. He teaches two courses to second year students, one on Shakespeare and his contemporaries and the other on Canadian drama and film. Dr. White had been know to observe that much of what he teaches now as history in Canadian Drama, he saw when it was first produced.
