Paula Althouse is a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique, a practical method for improving ease and freedom of movement, balance, support and coordination. She is also a member of CanSTAT (Canadian Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique). Since graduating in 2000 from the Toronto School of the Alexander Technique, she has maintained a successful practice in London, Ontario. She teaches private lessons, has led numerous workshops and presentations on the technique, and has been a frequent guest artist at the University of Western Ontario. Throughout her career, Paula has worked extensively with actors, singers, and musicians, and has been a faculty member of the Fanshawe College Theatre Arts Program since 2006. An active member in the Alexander community, Paula has done comprehensive post-graduate work with internationally renowned teachers Nelly Ben-Or and Rivka Cohen. She has also served on the CanSTAT council for several years and is currently president of the organization.

Paula holds a Bachelor of Music from Acadia University as well as a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Arts from the University of Western Ontario.
