Jon Cor took his passion for theatre and turned it into a fulltime job after enrolling in and graduating from the Theatre Arts Program at Fanshawe College. Jon's love of theatre began in high school where he performed in many school productions. His decision to enrol in the Theatre Arts Program was an easy one.

Jon was fortunate enough to get the attention of a couple of agents at the end of the year showcase using a self-written monologue. Afterwards, he moved to Toronto, to start his career as an actor. After moving to Toronto, Jon was fortunate yet again and he booked his first audition for a big budget production. " I'm not necessarily excited by most of my early work, as I had a lot to learn re: practical on-set experience, self-assertion, business savvy, etc., but it was certainly a well-earned and well-appreciated opportunity."

While attending the Theatre Arts Program at Fanshawe College Jon was able to gain many skills that helped shape his acting career. "I was taught to open-mindedly and fearlessly adapt to any given circumstance, or at least to instinctually and intelligently attempt to." The faculty members of the Theatre Arts Program were able to introduce him to many of the skills that he needed to become a successful actor. "Sean Quigley introduced me to... me, I suppose. John Dolan introduced me to the sophistication of technique as a way to sharpen my proverbial tool kit instead of relying solely on the arrogance and undependability of abstract concepts such as 'talent.' Caitlin Murphy and Dr. David White profoundly encouraged my creative writing and self-confidence."

During his second year at Fanshawe College Jon was proud to be a part of several variegated and public performances that were specially selected, rehearsed in studio, directed by industry-shaping professionals and publically performed. These plays supplied the real world experience necessary to complement and apply his studies.

Jon, is currently working fulltime as a film, television and voice actor.
