    A service which provides the user with a simple and intuitive starting point for research by searching the library's major e-resources collections at once including the library's catalogue. Please use the Full Text Filter for exclusive full text articles.
  • Career Cruising - is a Canadian database that provides career information. It includes links to colleges, universities and training programs in all provinces. It includes career profiles, and provides a quiz to match students with careers. As well, there are over 900 multimedia interviews with experts in the field, and careers are searchable by school subject, industry, or an alphabetical index.

  • CEDROM-SNi News - provides electronic news content in a collections of 31 Canadian newspapers, radio, and television broadcast programs, in both English and French, representing communities throughout Ontario and important French language newspapers.

  • CICA Handbook Online - The CICA Handbook contains guidelines and recommendations on general accounting, specific and specialized accounting, as well as not-for-profit accounting. It also houses the abstracts of the Emerging Issues Committee, assurance recommendations and guidelines, and the EDP (Electronic Data Process) auditing guideline.   • Ebsco - Academic Search Premier, MasterFile Elite, Canadian Reference Centre, MAS Ultra School edition, Humanities International Index, ERIC, CINAHL, Health Source: Nursing/Academic, Health Source: Consumer ed., Alt HealthWatch, Medline, Military & Government Collection, Primary Search, EBSCO Animals, Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia, Serials Directory, Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts, SocINDEX.

  • eCPS (Compendium of Pharmaceuticals and Specialties) - provides health care professionals with web access to the most current Canadian drug information. Contains thousands of Health Canada-approved drug monographs, links to Health Canada advisories, printable information for patients, searchable product images, and more.

  • Knowledge Ontario/Thomson Gale databases - a core suite of databases representing a wide range of subject areas with Canadian and academic coverage. This collection is too comprehensive to list.

  • NEW! Literature Resource Center (Gale CENGAGE Learning) - is a database which contains information on almost all facets of literature. The collection includes two major series: Contemporary Authors, and Contemporary Authors New Revisions, plus most of the Dictionary of Literary Biography, and many other literature resources. The user can find up-to-date biographical information, overviews, full-text literary criticism and reviews on more than 130,000 writers in all disciplines, from all time periods and from around the world.
    • Gale's Literary Index - is a master index to the major literature products published by Gale. It combines and cross-references over 165,000 author names, including pseudonyms and variant names, and listings for over 215,000 titles into one source. The library has major holdings in Contemporary Authors, Contemporary Authors New Revision Series, Contemporary Literary Criticism, Poetry Criticism, Twentieth-Century Literary Criticism, Children's Literature Review.

  • NetLibrary e-book Collection - 7,367 e-books and 3,399 public domain titles.
    Note: remote users must create a personal account with unique Username/password for login and personalized preferences to CHECK OUT eBooks. The eBook is automatically checked in after 15 minutes of idle time.

  • Proquest - ABI/Inform, CBCA Business, CBCA Current Events, CBCA Education, CBCA Reference, National Newspaper Abstracts, Proquest Nursing Journals, Proquest Science Journals, Research Library (Core collection plus 15 supplemental subject specific modules with major focus on psychology and sociology - click to see modules).

  • PsycARTICLES - is a database of full-text articles from journals published by the American Psychological Association, the APA Educational Publishing Foundation, the Canadian Psychological Association, and Hogrefe & Huber.   • NEW!Quicklaw (LexisNexis Canada Inc.) - provides legal and corporate researchers with comprehensive and authoritative online and print information services and solutions, including the LexisNexis(R) Quicklaw(TM) online research service for Canadian legal information.   • Safari Tech Books Online - up-to-date electronic reference libraries for programmers, IT professionals, and knowledge workers. Electronic books can be read from cover to cover, or be flipped to the page needed using Table of Contents or Index. Please remember to log off after searching and reading the database to allow the next user access to the database as only TWO users are licensed to use it at any time.

  • Teen Health and Wellness - provides students with comprehensive curricular support and self-help tools on topics including diseases, drugs, alcohol, nutrition, fitness, mental health, diversity, family life, and more. The database is developed for teens, with their unique concerns and perspective in mind.

  • Wilson Web -
    • Art Full Text (provides full text articles from some 150 journals back to 1997 and indexes more than 475 journals back to 1984, covering subjects on art, architecture, film, photography, industrial design, graphics, landscape architecture, etc.)
    • Applied Science & Technology Abstracts (provides abstracts from more than 590 top journals, covering subjects on aeronautics, chemical engineering, computer technology and applications, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, nuclear engineering, physics, telecommunications, transportation, nuclear engineering, and others).
