"Temple in the woods"
The origin of the word Fanshawe is old English and is a combination of two words: fane (meaning temple or building) and shaw or shawe (meaning woods). Hence “temple in the woods".
We offer a wide variety of undergraduate and post-graduate programs and courses that lead to employment opportunities in the areas of health care, human services, electronics, business administration, information technology, music production, art, design, manufacturing, hospitality, transportation, broadcasting, environmental science and civil engineering.
Fanshawe is one of the largest colleges in Ontario with a community focus and campuses located in London, Simcoe, St. Thomas and Woodstock and a smaller centre in Tillsonburg. Our locations in Southwestern Ontario offer you the best of friendly, small town living with access to larger centres along the Detroit-Toronto-Montreal corridor.
