Elk Pate with Cherries and Pistachios
Elk Pate? I'm willing to bet you've never tried that before. Sounds good doesn't it? It was delicious!
The Board had its annual holiday dinner with Dr. Howard Rundle, President of Fanshawe College and his lovely wife Lynda. This event is one of the few times that we stop working and gather socially. It’s an opportunity for Board members to get to know one another and build stronger relationships with each other, Alumni staff and Dr. Rundle.
We were lucky enough to get a booking at Saffron’s restaurant during their holiday buffet. Saffron’s (for those who don’t know) is our on-campus, student teaching restaurant. The food is prepared and served by students from our School of Tourism and Hospitality. If you’re looking for a great place for lunch or dinner, you can’t go wrong with Saffron’s. It’s one of my favourite places to dine in London!
Thanks to Dr. Rundle for taking the time to join us for dinner, it’s always great to spend time with him. I would also like to thank all of our Board members and staff for attending the dinner. It was certainly an enjoyable evening.
As the year draws to an end I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our Board for their outstanding efforts and contributions this past year. It’s their time, passion and commitment to the College and Alumni that make our Association strong and proud.
To all 130,000 Fanshawe Alumni and our Alumni Board, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
See you in 2012!
p.s. be sure to watch for the latest addition of the Alumni magazine due out the second week of January.
