Community Career Counselling

Mapping out your future

Fanshawe College counsellors are pleased to offer assistance to the general public in identifying potential career goals and the educational/training pathways to achieve these goals.

Please contact us for more information, or drop in to meet with a counsellor on a first-come, first-served basis for a short initial interview.

Career Counselling packages are also available on a fee-for-service basis to those who are not current Fanshawe College students.

Our counsellors provide assistance in the following areas:

  • Personal or group career counselling (including use of testing as appropriate);
  • Career planning and information; and
  • CHOICES CT and other computer programs to assist with career decisions

Community career counselling packages may be purchased either as a group or on an individual basis and usually consist of:

  • An interest inventory to help you identify career areas of interest; *
  • An aptitude inventory to identify academic strengths; *
  • A personality assessment to help provide a good career/personality fit; *
  • Group and/or individual test interpretation.

*Note: The items listed above are completed during two sessions of approximately three hours each.
