"The Fashion Design program at Fanshawe College gives students the technical skills necessary for employment in the field while fostering artistic creativity. Students are given the chance to broaden their perspective during the design process and mature as students as well as designers. Not only are students well prepared for the workplace, but faculty and staff are continuously going above and beyond to support students throughout their education as well as after graduation.
As a graduate, I was recently involved in the Art of Fashion design competition in Toronto, and was extremely touched at the amount of support given to me by my former teachers. The program definitely taught me how to function in the industry, but I would have to say that what sets Fanshawe's program apart from other schools is the unending support of a fantastic faculty and a strong desire to show the industry that Fanshawe graduates are, and will continue to be, strong contributors to the fashion world."
