A rewarding career helping children, youth and their families begins with Fanshawe's Child and Youth Worker program! You'll learn from veteran instructors about family issues and children's emotional and behavioural challenges. This three-year advanced diploma program combines academics with a range of field placements, where you'll spend every other semester working with clients. In total, you'll get over 1,500 hours of real-world experience! There's no better way to get a hands-on look at the wide range of career options that await you upon graduation.

Fanshawe's Child and Youth Worker program is well respected in the community and across Ontario, and offers excellent employment rates of 85% - 91%! When you graduate, you'll be ready to work in correctional services, residential treatment centres, group homes, children's aid societies, boards of education and hospitals. Plus, you may be eligible to transfer credits for further education at various universities in Canada and abroad.
