Building Solid Support for the Construction Engineering Technology Management Program

Third-year students in Fanshawe's Construction Engineering Technology Management program will benefit from a new bursary established by General Contractors' Section - Toronto Construction Association (TCA).

Toronto Construction Association With a gift of $40,000 from the General Contractors' Section, an Ontario Trust for Student Support bursary will be created at Fanshawe College which will be matched by the Province of Ontario.

Acknowledging the new opportunities available to eligible students who demonstrate an interest in project management, Dan Douglas, Chair of the School of Building Technology, expressed appreciation saying that, "This generous bursary provided by the TCA will support students financially as well as also serving to recognize high academic achievements in post-secondary education. This bursary also serves as validation of the high quality of programs and graduates from the School of Building Technology at Fanshawe College."

Established in 1867 and one of the oldest and largest construction associations of its kind in North America, the Toronto Construction Association promotes high standards of professionalism and provides a broad range of services and programs to its 2,200 member companies. The General Contractors' Section represents approximately 1,000 employers primarily in the Toronto region who are bound by one or more collective agreements covering the Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (I.C.I.) sector.
