Canadian Embassy Official Tours Solar House
Fanshawe Building Technology faculty and students are in Washington, D.C., assisting a New Zealand team with their entry in the international Solar Decathlon competition.
The combined Kiwi-Canadian team had a busy day yesterday. The First Secretary of the Environment from the Canadian Embassy in Washington, Lukas Gudinskas, came by for a VIP tour.
Gudinskas commented, "It's great to see how two institutions, separated by the distance that they are, have found a way to work together and achieve a project that is as unique as this."
The team also got word yesterday that they had won first place in the engineering portion of the competition. Final results will be announced on the weekend.
