Change Bandits Collect Coins for Kids

Led by Amanda Zavitz-Gocan, the Social Science Forum recently took on a 10-day campaign to raise funds for the Children's Hospital of Western Ontario (CHWO). The Forum includes Social Science, Science and Philosophy professors in Fanshawe's School of Language and Liberal Studies.

CHWO has directly touched several of the faculty's lives through speedy and outstanding care for their children. As "Change Bandits," professors collected change, solicited direct donations, sold baked goods and gathered donations by serving breakfast to fellow faculty and staff in the School of Language and Liberal Studies.

The goal was to raise $500, but the bandits exceeded their goal by 82 percent, raising $911.06 for the Children's Hospital.
