Composting Tim Hortons Cups

February 8, 2010

In continuing to divert materials from landfill, Fanshawe College will be testing a compost program for Tim Hortons cups. For the program to work the cups must be collected without lids, separately from other organic/compost waste. The lids are to be placed in the nearest waste bin.

During the testing of this program there will be eight Tim Hortons cup collection bins on the first floors of D, B, H and F buildings. Each of these bins will be located near current recycling and waste bins so that it will be easy to dispose of the lid and/or other materials.

Your participation in this test program is appreciated. If you have any questions or comments about this program please send them to recycle@fanshawec.ca.
