Dean, Centre for Community Education and Training Services

January 10, 2011

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Susan Cluett as Fanshawe College's new Dean, Centre for Community Education and Training Services (the Centre), effective December 24, 2010.

Susan began her career at Fanshawe College in 1997 as a PT Instructor with the Learning Centre in the College Access Program. She then moved onto Professor roles in the School of Manufacturing Sciences (now Applied Science and Technology) and in the School of Health Sciences. Prior to taking on the Acting Dean role in the Centre, she was the Chair of the School of Heath Sciences. Throughout her tenure, she has skillfully managed ever-increasing levels of responsibility and has gained a diverse range of experience across the College - as an educator, an administrator and a leader. With her extensive knowledge of the College and our communities, her commitment to student success and her proven track record, I have every confidence Susan will do an outstanding job as Dean.

Susan holds a Master's of Engineering degree from The University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Chemical Engineering from Queen's University.

Please join me in congratulating Susan and welcoming her into her new position. I would also like to thank her for the work she has done to date in the role of Acting Dean of the Centre.
