Disaster Relief Fundraising Events

The School of Language and Liberal Studies pulled out all the stops for Japan the week of April 11 to 15, 2011, with origami, Akido, 3D post-disaster housing designs, manga, anime, jpop, and nuclear energy:

• Monday, April 11: Japanese movies
• Tuesday, April 12: Japanese comic books
• Tuesday, April 12: Post-disaster housing designs
• Wednesday, April 13: What's good about nuclear energy
• Wednesday, April 13: Akido demo
• Thursday, April 14: A demo of the new FanshaweOnline ePortfolio - attendees were encouraged to bring their own laptop and try out the software for themselves
• Friday, April 15: Japanese music

Wendy Wilson, Coordinator of Technology Programs for the School of Language and Liberal Studies, coordinated the week of activities that raised over $2100 for the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
