ECHO Equipment Partners with Fanshawe College

At the Spriet Family Greenhouse on Friday, June 12, ECHO Power Equipment (Canada) President, Ed Zynomirski, announced a new partnership between Fanshawe College's Horticulture Technician program and ECHO Power Equipment.

ECHO Equipment (Canada) will supply a range of new power tools for student use at both the London Campus and the A.M. (Mac) Cuddy Gardens. These tools will be replenished each year and will provide training opportunities for Fanshawe students. This donation has an approximate value of $8,000 for the current year.

Tools donated to Fanshawe College include: power pruner, trimmer with pro-sweep, pro-paddle and tiller cultivator attachments, edger, power blower power vac, hedge trimmers, chain saws, and powered sprayers. The company is also donating three sets of safety equipment for operating the chain saws. All of these tools will have a wide range of use for students in both diploma and apprenticeship programs.

ECHO is a global brand of portable power equipment manufactured by the Kioritz Corporation in Tokyo, Japan. ECHO's Canadian operations moved to London, Ontario, in 1989 and began dealer direct sales in Ontario in 1990 and Newfoundland in 1991.
