Fanshawe College 2008 Golf Classic

More than $87,000 in bursary funds was raised at the sixth annual Fanshawe College Golf Classic held on Tuesday, August 19, 2008.

Thanks to the team at Sunningdale Golf & Country Club under the leadership of Patty Howard, Director of Golf, 148 guests enjoyed a fabulous round of golf, dinner and silent auction generously supported by the community. Special thanks to gold level sponsors, Con-Wall Concrete Inc., Honeywell and Southside Group.

Golf Planning Committee Co-Chairs Steve Done of aTRM (in photo at right with Fanshawe mascot Freddie the Falcon) and Dave Smith of Fanshawe College were delighted by the turnout and the community support.

The highlight of the day was a hole-in-one on the ninth by Graham Stoddart of Johnson Insurance sponsored by Brian Finch Pontiac Buick GMC.

Other attendees included members of the Fanshawe College Board of Governors - David Crockett, Donna Bourne and Britta Winther; Fanshawe President Dr. Howard Rundle; Betty Holme, President of the Fanshawe College Alumni Association and Jonathan Hillis, 2008/09 President of the Fanshawe Student Union.

Fanshawe College Foundation Chair, Bob Siskind, Vice Chair Larry Kinlin and board members Beth Girvan, Josh Levite, Jeff Malpass and David Wyatt also participated in this special event.
