Fanshawe College Responds to Fleming Drive Incident
Fanshawe College officials are extremely disappointed in the behavior of all individuals who were involved in incidents around the Fleming Drive area on March 17 and the early morning hours of March 18, 2012.
The College is taking this matter very seriously and has already issued interim suspensions to some students. Additionally, Fanshawe will conduct investigations to determine where student sanctions are warranted under its Student Code of Conduct policy.
We join London Police Service Chief Brad Duncan in asking for people to come forward with information regarding the events. To assist in the investigation, the College has set up an email account and a web-based upload form for people to forward video and/or information about the incident:
- Email: FlemingDriveIncident@fanshawec.ca
- Web-based upload form: https://fcsw.fanshawec.ca/v2/flemingDriveIncident/index.aspx
Students can also contact Campus Security Services at 519.452.4400 or Crime Stoppers at 800.222.8477.
We echo Chief Duncan and Mayor Fontana in commending the City’s Emergency Services staff and those students who have already come forward with information and expressed their disgust with the events. The College fully supports the London Police Service in its ongoing investigation.
Counselling and Accessibility Services is available to provide support for students who may need assistance. Please call 519.452.4282 or visit F2010. Their office hours are: Monday to Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 pm.
