Celebrate Success Indigenous Fashion!
Elders' teachings, powwow dancing, student awards & free lunch.
The Fanshawe First Nations Centre will hold an exciting celebration on March 20, 2013, and everyone is welcome!
The Year-End Social Gathering celebrates the success of Aboriginal students at Fanshawe in Indigenous fashion.
This free annual event features elders' teachings in the morning (registration required; contact the First Nations Centre), followed by student award presentations and a free lunch.
At noon, MC Neil Cornelius will preside as traditional Indigenous music provides the beat for the powwow and longhouse dancers, dressed in colourful traditional regalia.
Aboriginal craft vendors and information booths will also be available from the local First Nations communities.
