Lawrence Hill to Visit Fanshawe on March 25
Commonwealth Writer's Prize Winner and 2009 Canada Reads Selection,
writer and speaker Lawrence Hill will visit Fanshawe College on
Thursday, March 25 at 2:00 p.m. in Room D1060,
London campus. The reading, book sale and signing, organized by
the Fanshawe College Letters and Arts Society,
are free and open to the
public!
Lawrence Hill is the author of The Book of Negroes, published in the USA, Australia and New Zealand as Someone Knows My Name.
It won the 2008 Commonwealth Writers' Prize for Best Book. A Canadian bestseller, it was named one of the top 100 books of 2007 by The Globe and Mail. Hill's most recent non-fiction work, The Deserter's Tale: the Story of an Ordinary Soldier Who Walked Away from the War in Iraq (co-written with Joshua Key and published by House of Anansi Press), was named one of the top ten books published in 2007 by Quill & Quire magazine.
