On Friday, April 8, 2011, the Canadian band Lunch At Allen's will perform at Port Dover's Lighthouse Festival Theatre in support of Fanshawe College's James N. Allan Campus (Simcoe) Capital Fundraising Campaign. The band is comprised of internationally renowned artists Murray McLauchlan, Cindy Church, Marc Jordan, and Ian Thomas. They will perform some of Canada's, and the world's, most enjoyed songs from each of their impressive catalogues, many of which have been recorded by musicians like Rod Stewart, Bette Midler, Diana Ross and Santana.

"Fanshawe College is very important to the economic development of Norfolk County and we are very excited about the renovations that will be taking place at the Simcoe Campus," said Les Anderson, Chair of the Capital Campaign and member of the College's Board of Governors. "This event is a wonderful way for people to support the Campaign while enjoying a concert by some of the best musicians in Canada."
"We've had record enrolments over the past few years, resulting in a doubling of our student population," said Donna Gates, Chair of the James N. Allan Campus. "As seats are being filled and the demand continues to increase, these renovations become vital as they will allow us to accommodate the growing educational needs of our community."

The Campaign goal has been set at one million dollars for much-needed renovations at the Campus and
the upgrades will help meet high student demand in the region. In February 2010, Norfolk County
Council showed their support of the Campaign by committing $150,000 that will help create flexible
classroom and lab spaces, two new shops, computer labs, resource centre, student centre, better
office space for faculty, and an attractive new entrance.
