Mentoring Program: "Terrific start to 2008-09 year"

Mentoring For Success has had a terrific start to the 2008-09 academic year. With over 40 mentee applicants in the first six weeks, we are more than 50 percent towards our target for the year. So far we have the following participant rates:

We are thrilled to announce that Carolyn McCabe will be joining the Alumni Office as the Mentoring For Success Coordinator, filling in for Jen Denys while Jen is on maternity leave beginning in mid-November.

Carolyn has a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Dalhousie University and is currently working towards her Certified Human Resources Professional Designation. Carolyn spent her last year of university in Aix-en-Provence, France where she completed a French Diploma. After graduating from university, Carolyn spent a year working at the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia as the designated International Students Representative. Carolyn has since returned to London, Ontario and worked in both the corporate and non-for-profit sectors in the areas of recruitment, training and employee relations. Carolyn participated in the HRPLD Mentorship Program and has worked closely with students through her positions as a Field Instructor for Social Work students in collaboration with UWO and as a recruiter for co-op students.
