New Bike Racks Promote Enviro-Friendly Options
In a quest for sustainability and as part of Fanshawe's overall green strategy, new bike racks are being installed in strategic areas around campus. Not only is biking a green option for travel, it also reduces gasoline consumption. As people turn to alternate and eco-friendly methods of transportation, installing additional racks will support faculty, staff and students who bike to campus. It will also encourage those who don't to perhaps consider cycling in the future.
Approximately 20 bike racks with improved security features will be installed in areas of high walking traffic. New locations include the D Food court, the north end of B Building by B1018, between A and E Building, H and M Building and behind the Security Control Centre located by D1027. All bike racks will be installed over the summer months in time for September classes and as required in future.
