Residence Donates Toys & Cash to Children's Aid Society
I am very pleased to announce that the Residence has donated $3250.00, in toys and cash to the Children's Aid Society of London-Middlesex.
This donation was based on another year of our alternative sanction program where residents can reduce the amount owing in fines by donating toys to the Christmas Campaign. The students think it is a great option and a way of contributing to the community. Many commented on enjoying the process of going to get toys they know will go to people in need.
In addition to this donation, the Residence Staff donated a corporate award for Health and Safety of $440. While the staff were on a toy shopping spree at Walmart, the Manager donated a gift card for an additional $50. It is great to see the donations add up and the community come together to provide a better Christmas for many children.
