School of Human Services
Dr. Danielle Renaud, Acting Chair Human Services
Please join me in welcoming Danielle Renaud to the role of Acting Chair Human Services effective October 19, 2009.
Danielle joined the college in January 1987 and has taught in and coordinated three programs in Human Services. Danielle holds both a B.Ed and M.Ed. from University of Windsor in the area of Special Education. Most recently Danielle has completed an Ed. D through OISE/University of Toronto in Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning.
In 2006 Danielle began the advanced certificate in Autism Behavioural Science as the coordinator of the program. Fanshawe College is represented on the Autism Centre for Excellence advisory board at The University of Western Ontario by Danielle. The board's purpose is to further research and treatment of persons with autism.
This summer Danielle travelled to Kenya in support of the work of the Muungano Foundation. Special needs children in rural areas were assessed in preparation for a school being developed in this area. This relationship facilitates both the expansion of the Interprofessional Education and Practice as well as the Internationalization priorities within the Faculty of Health Sciences and Human Services.
