YOU Partners With Interior Design Students

In collaboration with Youth Opportunities Unlimited (YOU), Fanshawe College third-year Interior Design students had the opportunity to create conceptual designs for the YOU building that is undergoing renovations at the corner of York and Richmond Streets. Their designs were presented to the Board of Directors and other investors in June and was followed by a discussion period. They were very well received and Fanshawe was recognized as a contributor to the process of renovating the project.

Many of the young people supported by Youth Opportunities Unlimited told the group that it was their dream to continue their education at Fanshawe College.

This was a wonderful opportunity for Fanshawe students to be involved in a real renovation project for a community-focused organization. There is also a possibility of an ongoing collaboration with Youth Opportunities Unlimited and Fanshawe Design students in the future.
