Cathie Auger, Fanshawe's
Vice-President of Student and Staff Services,
accepted the Healthy Living
Worksite Silver Award on behalf of Fanshawe College at
the Healthy Living Partnership Annual Celebration
Breakfast on Thursday, November 3, 2005.
This award
recognizes Fanshawe College's commitment to employee
health using a comprehensive approach to wellness
programming. The three elements considered when
recognizing a healthy workplace are Health & Safety,
Healthy Lifestyle Practices and Cultural & Social
Environment. A number of the College's policies and
practices were highlighted in the application process
for this award.
Cathie Auger acknowledged the
leadership of the Health and Wellness Committee,
consisting of Olive Murray, Doug Weaver, Francine
Sabourin and Ed Wilson, in promoting healthy lifestyle
choices and awareness activities.
