John Mason, Fanshawe's lead runner
Fanshawe College men's cross-country running team brought home a silver medal from the CCAA Nationals hosted by Sir Sandford Fleming College in Peterborough on Saturday, November 12, 2005.

Fanshawe's lead runner was John Mason, who placed third overall in the standings, winning a bronze medal for his individual time of 27:56. John is also an OCAA conference silver medalist and has been awarded an OCAA All-Canadian plaque.

Two weeks previously the Fanshawe men's cross-country team won gold at the OCAA provincial championships.

Two Fanshawe women participated in the CCAA event in Peterborough as well. Shannyn Clancy and Samara Cahais had a great race and finished with outstanding times for this very technical course. Shannyn's time was 24:25 for a 35th place finish in a field of 80 runners. Samara's time was 24:28 (36th place).
