:: Take Our Kids to Work Day at Fanshawe College ::
photo On Wednesday, November 2, 2005, over 30 grade nine students had the opportunity to visit Fanshawe College for Take Our Kids to Work Day.

Take Our Kids to Work Day gives high school students a chance to share a day with a significant adult to understand what people do to earn a living. It also allows them to clarify goals for the future so they can choose the appropriate school courses.

The morning began with a welcome and some safety tips, in addition to icebreakers and prizes. There was a brief tour of the college, including the radio, television and MIA studios and the new Centre for Construction Trades & Technology. After the tour, students were picked up by their parents or host to spend the rest of the day on the job with them, to get a closer look at what a real work day is like at Fanshawe College.

Thanks to everyone who helped to support Take Our Kids to Work Day at Fanshawe, these students experienced a day they will never forget!
