College Teaching Moments
Two St. Lawrence College instructors, Christina Decarie and Tom Brennan, are
working on a book - Lessons Learned - that will focus on significant moments
from college classrooms. They have been researching the book for the past 12 months
and are now seeking stories and anecdotes from instructors.
"While there have been numerous books written by educators about postsecondary schools, this zeroes in on memorable moments in the college classroom," says Decarie.
The book will be a collection of quotes, anecdotes, interviews, essays and stories about those moments that instructors couldn't plan for but came unexpectedly. Every instructor in Ontario is invited to submit a story that highlights a unique moment in teaching.
Instructors can submit their stories online at www.stlawrencecollege.ca/lessonslearned or by contacting the research team at lessonslearned@sl.on.ca.
