Advanced Care Paramedic

Paramedics: broaden your career opportunities with specialized, advanced training.

Fanshawe's Advanced Care Paramedic program is designed to enhance your skill set so you can perform an expanded set of controlled medical acts to patients suffering from serious medical and traumatic emergencies.

This specialized training will allow you to better manage life-threatening situations, increasing the range of skills you can offer to employers, and the level of care you can offer to patients.

You'll develop advanced assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills, and be prepared to perform invasive therapeutic interventions in the pre-hospital environment.

Learning will be interactive and challenging, and you'll be exposed to a mix of classroom instruction laboratory work and hospital clinical and field placement.

You'll develop your skills and knowledge in acute care areas of the hospital, including adult and pediatric emergency, intensive care, operating room, and obstetrics.

Class sizes are limited to maintain small student-faculty ratios, and provide you with the highest quality, most advanced paramedic training available.

Advanced Care Paramedic is a Graduate Certificate Program.
