Plan and design greener, more sustainable communities - think integrated.

Fanshawe's unique Bachelor of Applied Arts - Integrated Land Planning Technologies (ILPT), combines the theory, knowledge and techniques of landscape architecture, urban design and physical planning with training in geographic information systems, computer-aided design, visualization and presentation technologies. The industry-standard digital technologies complement and enhance design and communication methods used in professional planning and landscape architectural practice.

You'll work on case studies and community-based projects with sustainability in mind. The ILPT program is four years including three co-operative education work placements. A Capstone project in the final year is an opportunity to demonstrate your new knowledge and skills through a comprehensive exploration of a site-specific, environmental design problem.

Your undergraduate degree ensures that you'll be well-prepared to pursue a career in the private sector with planning and GIS consultants, landscape architects and developers; and in the public sector with municipalities, conservation authorities and provincial ministries. The degree also prepares you for continued study at the graduate level.
