The Audio Post-Production program is a graduate certificate program which provides intensive practical and theoretical instruction and hands-on applications for acquiring high level proficiency and creativity in the audio post production, live audio production, video and multi media fields. Individual and group projects are built based on hands-on equipment use, process oriented instruction, working with other departments within the college and independent lab time. Pre-production, production and post production phases are thoroughly explored.
Applicant Selection Criteria
Where the number of eligible applicants exceeds the available spaces in the program, the Applicant Selection Criteria will be:- Receipt of Application by February 1st.
- Achievement in the Admission Requirements.
- Preference will be given to graduates of the Fanshawe College Music Industry Arts program, with most recent graduates having priority.
- Applicants who are not Music Industry graduates will be evaluated for musical and technical abilities in the area of sound design for picture, surround sound mixing, music composing/recording/mixing, video editing in academic and professional environments.
- Students applying for the Audio Post-Production program with a two-year Music Industry Arts Ontario College Diploma should have obtained a 'B' average in all DIGL courses in first year and second year of the Music Industry Arts program at Fanshawe College, or a 'B' average in all equivalent courses from another institution. Applicants with less than a 'B' average will be considered only on the recommendation of the Academic Manager.
