Program Description

Business - Accounting is a two-year Ontario College Diploma program, with a co-op option (laptop required for second year). Designed to prepare graduates to work in an accounting environment at the entry or intermediate accounting level, the program starts with accounting fundamentals and then moves to detailed accounting principles and concepts, including computerized accounting. Graduates will have the skills required for success in a corporate accounting department in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, merchandising, banks, and other financial institutions. Graduates also work in public accounting firms and federal, provincial, and municipal government offices. This program is an ideal starting point for those seeking a professional designation, as graduates may also apply program credits towards a professional accounting designation (e.g., CA, CGA, or CMA) and/or transfer to the third year of Fanshawe's Business Administration - Accounting program.
