The program prepares students for a career in the residential construction industry. Courses are designed to provide the technical knowledge required to perform the construction, estimating, and scheduling associated with the building of bungalows, 2-storey houses, duplexes and townhouses. Part of the program is devoted to the acquisition of "hands-on" skills pertaining to this field.Applicant Selection Criteria
Where the number of eligible applicants exceeds the available spaces in the program, the Applicant Selection Criteria will be:- Preference for Permanent Residents of Ontario.
- Receipt of Application by May 1st.
- Achievement in the Admission Requirements.
- Preference will be given to graduates of the Fanshawe College Construction Carpentry Techniques program.
Advanced Standing
- Credit for any course in the program will be given to students who can demonstrate that they have the required skills to meet the objectives of the course.
Other Information
- IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR FIRST YEAR STUDENTS: Students wishing to enter the first year of the program should apply to the Construction Carpentry Techniques program, Program Code CCQ3.
- Students wishing to enter the Construction Engineering Technician - Supervisor program will be registered in Year 1 in the Construction Carpentry Techniques program. Students who successfully complete all courses within the Construction Carpentry Techniques program and wish to continue in the second year of the Construction Engineering Technician - Supervisor program to complete the requirements for an Ontario College Diploma must complete an "Application for Program Transfer" form available from the Office of the Registrar, Room E1012.
