Graduates of the program will have a solid foundation in mechanical skills and have demonstrated achievement of vocational learning outcomes which relate to both mechanical and manufacturing environments. They will have developed practical skills and safe working practices in the use of machinery, tools, and precision measuring instruments. In addition, they will also be able to apply communication, documentation, and teamwork skills to support the activities of an organization.
Upon completion of the program, graduates will only have to complete the balance of the practical work experience requirements of the apprenticeship program and successfully complete the Ontario Certificate of Qualification exam to be eligible for certification as an Industrial Millwright Mechanic.

This Co-op Diploma/Apprenticeship program combines an Ontario College Diploma and an Apprenticeship leading to an Ontario Certificate of Qualification. Successful applicants to the program will be registered as Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) apprentices and also as post-secondary Mechanical Technician students. The program includes one four-month co-op work term with an employer that has been assessed as eligible to provide apprenticeship training.Graduates of the program will have a solid foundation in mechanical skills and have demonstrated achievement of vocational learning outcomes which relate to both mechanical and manufacturing environments.
