Worried about going back to school?
You're not alone! Whether you are attending school for the first time or coming back after some time off, transitioning into the first year of your program can be intimidating. Take advantage of our Jumpstart programming or Returning to Learning workshops available this summer to prepare for the fall term.
Can't make any of our summer workshops? Don't worry - mature students have access to the same counselling services that are available to the entire student body. We even have Mature Student Lunch and Learn workshops held on Tuesdays at noon during the school year!
Here's just a quick list the services available:
- Confidential Counselling
- Career Counselling
- Personal Counselling including food issues, domestic violence, adjustment concerns, stress management, self-confidence and self-esteem, community referrals, family adjustment concerns, community resources available to the adult learner, etc.
- Learning Styles, Study Skills, Procrastination, Test Anxiety Issues, Counselling
- Services for Students with Disabilities
