SRID has a two-stage process. First, you apply, following the instructions in Stage 1. Then the selection committee chooses up to 25 semi-finalists. Those entrants will be invited to create project displays, which will be exhibited at SRID on April 3, 2013.
Application Process - Stage 1
1. Download and complete the official entry form. Be sure to fill out all of the fields, and include the names of all members of your project team (if more than one person was involved in the project).
2. Write a project abstract following the document formatting rules and sample abstract outlined in Submission Guidelines.
3. Email both the entry form and abstract to the SRID selection committee at research@fanshawec.ca by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), Monday, March 11, 2013.
4. Use “SRID” in your email subject line.
Note: Emails must be sent (indicated by the date and time appearing on the email) no later than 11:59 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), Monday, March 11, 2013. Any entries received after this deadline will be disqualified. Fanshawe College will not be liable for any IT issues encountered during submission. Individuals or teams must electronically submit an entry form and project abstract in the prescribed format. Each individual and/or individual team member must be identified on the form. The person who submits the entry on behalf of the team is solely responsible for ensuring that every team member is listed on the entry form.
Application Process -- Stage 2
The SRID selection committee will review all entries. Up to 25 semi-finalists will be chosen. Semi-finalists will be notified by email and invited to exhibit their projects by Friday, March 15. An information session for all semi-finalists will be held in mid-March.
