Forum Canada Research (FCR) is under contract to the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU) to collect and report on the graduate employment, graduate satisfaction and employer satisfaction data across the province. During the graduate survey period, 57,903 interviews were completed out of a total graduate population of 106,244. The survey collects information on the graduates' employment experience and their satisfaction with their college education. Six months after graduation, graduates are surveyed by telephone over a seven week period, three times a year starting in March, July and November.
FCR also conducts telephone interviews with the employers of graduates who have given permission for their employers to be interviewed. Employers are contacted during the year to determine how they feel about the colleges' preparation of graduates to meet employers' needs. Approximately 5,200 employers completed the survey. The survey begins three weeks after each graduate survey has been completed and is conducted in May, September, and January for a period of three weeks.
CCI Resources has been contracted by MTCU to prepare the student satisfaction survey and to tabulate the results. The surveys, prepared by CCI Resources, are administered by each college using a standard survey in accordance with an established protocol. Approximately 145,000 Ontario college students in their second semester or later completed the survey in June 2018 and February 2019.
