Centre for Advanced Research and Innovation in Biotechnology (CARIB)
Fanshawe's Centre for Advanced Research and Innovation in Biotechnology (CARIB) is a renovated and expanded science laboratory suite which allows our student and faculty teams to offer collaborative research support to local biotechnology partners. CARIB's bright and modern state-of-the-art facility houses over 13,000 square feet of biology, chemistry, instrumentation and physics labs. It also has incubator and research space for collaboration with partners in the agri-food industry.
The building of CARIB was made possible through a $4 million investment from the federal government as part of the Post-Secondary Institutions Strategic Investment Fund and a $2.2 million investment from the Government of Ontario. Fanshawe contributed $2.8 million toward the project.
