Alex Lau attended high school in Malaysia, Singapore and Canada, and obtained his university degree in business administration in the United States.
Since immigrating to Canada in 1987 with his parents, Alex and his wife Alicia and their two children, Jacqueline and Nathan, have made London their home. In addition to his business as a wealth management professional with TD Wealth Private Investment Advice, Alex has always been actively engaged in various community organizations and volunteer activities.
Over the years Alex has served on various boards and committees of numerous organizations including London Chamber of Commerce, Bethany's Hope Foundation, Canadian Association of Financial Planners Western Ontario Chapter, YMCA Western Ontario and Chinese Canadian National Council. Alex has also volunteered internationally for Canadian Aid for Southern Sudan and The Water School. In September of 2012, Alex received the Queen's Diamond Jubilee award for his various volunteer contributions.
Alex Lau joined the Fanshawe College Board of Governors on September 1, 2014.
