Yantz announced as new Woodstock/Oxford Regional Campus chair
Susan Cluett, dean of the Faculty of Regional and Continuing Education, is pleased to announce Greg Yantz (right) has accepted the position of chair of the Woodstock/Oxford Regional Campus in the Faculty of Regional and Continuing Education, effective January 30, 2017.
Yantz brings to the role over 19 years of experience in higher education administration. He joined the College in 2015 as the operations manager for the Faculty of Regional and Continuing Education. Most recently, he has been serving as the acting chair of the Woodstock/Oxford Regional Campus. Prior to joining Fanshawe College, Yantz served as director of administration with the Don Wright Faculty of Music at Western University. Greg's seven years with Western University also included prior roles as director of MBA recruiting and admissions for the Ivey Business School, and program coordinator for continuing education for post-degree programs. Greg's earlier experiences include four years as an editor with Broadview Press, and six years at the University of Michigan, ultimately in the role of department administrator.
Greg is a graduate of the University of Michigan, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He earned a Master of Arts (Politics), and a Master of Philosophy (Politics) from New York University. Greg most recently completed the Ivey Leadership Program in 2012.
Yantz replaces Donna Derer who left the position of chair on November 14, 2016, after accepting a position as the director of academic strategic integration at the London campus. He has been filling the role of acting chair since that time.
"Through his approachable, collaborative style and his strong communication skills, Greg has demonstrated an ability to achieve successful outcomes while nurturing a strong sense of team," said Cluett. "I look forward to working with Greg in his new capacity as Chair to build on the successes of the Woodstock/Oxford Regional Campus."
"I am very excited for the opportunity to continue the exceptional growth and success of our campus," Yantz said. "I am going to actively engage in ensuring our campus is creating the best possible learning environment and at the same time, meeting the needs of our community."
