Team Canada Men's Soccer and Volleyball finish 10th and 11th place respectively

 

(London, Ontario) – Fanshawe student-athletes Matt Catalano (Men's Soccer) and Sebastian Lethbridge (Men's Volleyball) are currently representing Canada in the 2017 Summer Universiade in Taipei City, Chinese Taipei.

 

The Men's Volleyball team completed their FISU games with a 3-1 win over host Chinese Taipei to finish in 11th place.

 

When asked about his FISU game experience, Lethbridge answered, "I am super honoured to have played here on an international stage wearing the maple leaf. Being able to compete against athletes of such a high caliber has been a great learning experience and a dream come true!" 

 

The Men's Soccer team fell 4-3 to Brazil in their final match of the tournament, resulting in a 10th place finish.
