St. Thomas/Elgin Regional Campus moves Employment Ontario services.

Fanshawe College's St. Thomas/Elgin Regional Campus is moving its Employment Ontario services to a new location in St. Thomas effective March 2, 2015 to better serve clients looking for work, training or literacy instruction.

The Fanshawe Career and Employment Services office will be located in the Elgin Mall at 417 Wellington Street, St. Thomas. The College will deliver combined employment and academic upgrading programs from this new location, integrating its existing Employment Ontario Employment Services and Literacy and Basic Skills services.

Once renovations at the mall are complete, local employers and job seekers will have the choice of two Employment Ontario service centres to meet their needs: the Fanshawe Career and Employment Services office and the Elgin-St. Thomas Youth Employment Counselling Centre (YECC) at 400 Talbot Street.

Fanshawe College has been engaged in the delivery of employment services for over twenty years and has been delivering literacy services in St. Thomas and in Elgin County for a similar period of time.

"The College has a great deal of experience delivering these services," said Ross Fair, chair of Fanshawe's St. Thomas/Elgin Regional Campus. "We are excited to establish this new, integrated service for St. Thomas residents, in coordination with the YECC."
