Fanshawe faculty member Paul Williams has been selected by his peers as the recipient of the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) 2016 Robert Merry Award for Excellence in Education.
The award was created to recognize a CSRT member who has made significant contributions to education and/or has influenced others towards higher levels of achievement in education.
Paul has been recognized for his contributions as an innovative educator, a well-respected inter-professional team member and a generous volunteer within his field. With this award the CSRT and its members acknowledge that Paul has made a difference in the field of respiratory therapy education at the local, provincial and national level.
“This is absolutely wonderful, and so very well deserved. Congratulations Paul!” said Christine Griffith, chair of the School of Health Sciences. “You excel in your dual professions of educator and respiratory therapist and your reputation extends far beyond Fanshawe College. We are indeed so fortunate that you are a member of our Health Sciences team.”
Paul will be presented with his award during the President's banquet at the CSRT Annual Education Conference which will be held in Ottawa the weekend of May 26 to 28.
