MEN'S VOLLEYBALL:

 

Heading into the second half of the season, the Fanshawe Men's Volleyball team is tied for first place in the OCAA West Division with a record of 8-1.  They have the longest active win streak in the West Division with four straight league wins and are ranked #1 in Ontario and #3 in Canada.

 

On Wednesday, the Falcons travel to Ancaster, Ontario to face the #15 ranked Redeemer Royals (6-3) at 8pm.  In December, when these teams met in London, Fanshawe won in three straight sets.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL:

 

The Women's Volleyball team is currently in sixth place in the OCAA West Division with a record of 4-5.

 

The Falcons competed in the Humber College Exhibition Tournament over the holiday break.  Fanshawe finished with a record of 4-2, including wins over St. Mary's University, Trent University, MSVU and Sheridan College.

 

 

The Falcons are back in action on Wednesday, January 11, as they head on the road to Redeemer to take on the Royals (3-6) at 6pm.  Last time out, the Falcons defeated Redeemer in three straight sets.

MEN'S BASKETBALL:

 

The Fanshawe Men's Basketball team is in fourth place in the OCAA West Division and is ranked #8 in Ontario. 

 

The Falcons took part in the East/West Holiday Challenge December 27-28 at Centennial College.  Although the team went 0-3, the Falcons had some good results.  After an opening day loss to Seneca 71-50, the Falcons lost two close games by scores of 78-77 to Centennial and 72-70 to George Brown.

 

The Basketball team heads on the road on Wednesday, January 11 to take on the #2 ranked Sheridan Bruins (7-0) at 8pm.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL:

 

The Women's Basketball team is tied for third place in the OCAA West Division and is ranked #5 in Ontario.

 

Fanshawe took part in the Seneca College Invitational January 6-7 and came home as Tournament Champions.  After defeating George Brown in the opening game 78-53, the Falcons defeated the host Sting 53-47 and headed to the final against the Mohawk Mountaineers. Fanshawe won the game against Mohawk 69-62 to win the tournament for the second consecutive year.  Laura Vere was named the Tournament MVP while Anique Daley and Natalie Warren were both named Tournament All-Stars.

 

The Falcons head to Sheridan College on Wednesday, January 11 to take on the Bruins (2-7) at 6pm. Last time these teams met, Fanshawe won the game 63-39.

BADMINTON:

 

The Men's and Women's Badminton teams are on the road this Friday, January 13 to Sunday, January 15 to take part in the Centennial College Invitational.
